Many may think that owning a home is unattainable. But if a guy like me with few resources and little previous knowledge can achieve it, so can you!
When I look back at my life, when I was living in a trailer in high school with my grandma, it taught me one thing: to work hard if you want to change your circumstances and achieve things you knew you were destined for. It all starts with belief—believing in yourself. Without the belief in yourself, you will stay stuck in your circumstances and possibly repeat the cycle that was set before you. I knew if I wanted a change in my life, I had to be proactive and work hard, and working hard for me was finding a job and starting to save! I started working during my junior year in high school and started saving every check I received. I didn’t know it at the time, but the money I was saving ended up being the money I used to purchase my first home!
So if you want to purchase a home one day, just know the process takes time, and it starts well before you may even know you want to purchase a home. It also starts with the belief you have in yourself. Belief in yourself can change your circumstances. It will allow you to take action, stay motivated, be more content, and achieve those goals you set before you!
